What is Yuppa?

"I started Yuppa to give myself and many others a creative outlet. A place to empower other young people, a place to find out more about yourself and other things, and a place to begin. Yuppa is a blank sheet of paper. I will always ensure that Yuppa is an outlet for young voices to self-express. That's my role here." - Eboni Burke, founder of Yuppa.

So, let me bring you up to speed on this court case which has gripped the international wrestling community over the past week. Current WWE Doctor Chris Amann was suing Former WWE Champion, Now UFC Star CM Punk and his best friend, Current Independent wrestler and Host of the Art Of Wrestling Podcast Colt Cabana. The reasoning was due to comments to made after Punk's WWE exit on Cabana's podcast. There he suggested Amann of clearing him to wrestle while injured as well as misdiagnosing a staph infection. These were some of the many reasons Punk quit the promotion back in 2014.

Amann was suing them for $1 million in 'emotional' damages as well as $1 per stream of the Art Of Wrestling podcast in question, which came to a grand total of $3,989,000.

The decision came down around 4pm Chicago-time, that's 10 pm GMT, in Cook County Circuit Court, according to Wrestlezone (You can also see the notes from the trial here too)

Much of the testimony in the court case centred around a lump on Punk’s backside which Punk felt made him extremely sick over a prolonged period of time. Punk contended Amann didn’t properly treat it. Amann claims he never saw it. His attorneys showed numerous texts and emails regarding Punk’s health and at no point did Punk put anything in writing with WWE doctors about the lump.

In the podcast, Punk said the lump ended up being a staph infection that ultimately could’ve cost him his life. It was shown in court that the lump was diagnosed by a physician’s assistant as a lump.

Punk said the AOW podcast was his way to “set the record straight for my fans” and tell his story. He told jurors he wouldn’t change anything about the interview.

At the end of the trial jurors didn’t see enough to prove Punk and Cabana legally defamed Amann.

Punk is scheduled to face Mike Jackson at UFC 225 in Punk's Hometown of Chicago this Saturday and now all his attention will be focused onto this. He also denied the rumours of him appearing at the Bullet Club's 'All In' event which will take place also in Chicago on 1st September.

Is this CM Punk trying to lead fans off the trail or is he actually not appearing at 'All In'? I guess we are going to have to wait and see.
